God occasionally takes us up on the mountain to see things from His point of view, and we want to say there, but He won’t let us stay there. We see on the mountaintop; it’s a good place to be, but it is spiritually selfish to stay there. We live in the valley among the oppressed where we need to lift them up. We are built for the valley — there we must prove ourselves in the mundane stuff of everyday life.
